Where to find it
Settings > Returns > Shop Now, under Shop Now Settings.

What this is
Type | How it's calculated |
None | No bonus offered |
Percentage | A share of the value of return items. 8% on a $100 return gives $108 to spend. |
Fixed amount per item | A flat bonus per return item |
Fixed amount per return | A flat bonus once per return |
When a type is selected, a second field appears for the amount or percentage.
One point worth being precise about: the percentage is calculated on the subtotal of the items the customer is returning — not on the value of what they put in their Shop Now cart. A customer returning $100 of product with an 8% bonus gets $108 of spending power whether they spend it on one item or five.
If a customer goes through Shop Now but ends up choosing nothing from your collections, no bonus is applied — the bonus attaches to Shop Now items, so an exchange without any resolves to zero.
What the customer sees
The bonus is included in the available credit shown while the customer browses, so they see the increased spending power directly.

Shop Now bonus vs. store credit bonus
These are separate settings that apply to different choices, and both can be active at different rates.
Bonus | Applies when | Configured on |
Store credit bonus | The customer takes store credit | Setup tab |
Shop Now bonus | The customer uses Shop Now to buy new items | Shop Now tab |
Setting the Shop Now bonus higher than the store credit bonus makes the options progressively more attractive: refund, then store credit, then shopping now.
Considerations
The bonus needs to be large enough to be noticeable at the point of choice.
Check the bonus against your typical gross margin — it functions as a discount on the customer's next purchase.
